Business continuity

To keep services running we work to the ISO 22301 business-continuity management system: critical data is backed up on site and in the cloud in encrypted form, recovery steps are defined and systems are monitored continuously.

If a restaurant’s till stops at lunchtime or a clinic’s appointment screen at nine in the morning, the cost is not a software bug but lost business and trust. Business continuity, for us, is a written answer to that question.

  • Encrypted backup on site and in the cloud
  • Defined recovery steps
  • Continuous system monitoring
  • Option to run on MTY Cloud
01

Continuity as a management system

To keep service running we work to the ISO 22301 business-continuity management system. This means the question “what if the server goes down” is answered in advance for every product and every client project: which systems are critical, what outage is acceptable, who does what and in which order.

Those answers do not sit in a document; they are tested in regular drills. If you have never tried your recovery steps, you do not have a recovery plan.

02

Backup and recovery

Critical data is backed up on site and in the cloud, encrypted. Backups run automatically and restore tests are actually carried out. Recovery steps are defined; in an outage it is clear which backup, in which order and by whom.

This process has been running in our own products for years. We carry it into client projects too: when a project is delivered, the backup and recovery plan is delivered with it.

  • Encrypted backups on site and in the cloud
  • Automatic backups, tested restores
  • Defined recovery order and owners
  • Recovery plan delivered with the project
03

Monitoring and response

Systems are monitored continuously; when a service slows down or stops, the team is alerted before the customer notices. Incidents are recorded, contained, root-caused and the process updated so they do not recur. On the infrastructure side we use MTY Cloud’s redundancy and monitoring.

04

When the branch loses internet

Continuity applies in the field, not only in the data centre. When a branch loses its connection, Restoreks Edge keeps taking orders, printing receipts and accepting payments; once the link returns everything syncs to the cloud. For products used in the field, “no connection, no work” is not an acceptable design.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly do you tell us about an outage?

Affected customers are informed as part of the incident process; timing and channel are defined in the contract. In our products, outage notices go straight to the administrator account.

How long are backups kept?

Retention is defined per product and contract; for personal data we follow KVKK retention periods. We share it in writing at the contract stage.

How is continuity handled for a project on our own servers?

The recovery plan, backup set-up and monitoring are built and documented with the project. We can run the monitoring or hand it over to your team.
